Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must possess an interest in community building.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who possess an interest in community building as demonstrated by their resume and application essay. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: Award selection will favor students who submit essays and resumes that demonstrate a strong interest and experience with community building such as volunteering, community organization, and other leadership activities. The winner will be announced in the spring. Any questions about the award or the application procedure for this scholarship may be submitted to the provided email address.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable. Students must provide proof of enrollment before any funds will be disbursed.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Application information is available on the scholarship program website. To apply, the student must submit the following materials: an updated resumé that includes academic, professional, and volunteer experiences with a focus on community building (must be limited to actual experiences, not interests); a 500-word essay addressing the question posted on the website; and a current official academic transcript verifying grade point average. Applicants who cannot provide an official transcript from their current institution may submit both an unofficial transcript from their current institution as well as an official transcript from their last school. Application materials must be emailed to the provided address no later than deadline date.
