Number of Awards & Eligibility: Twelve awards offered per entry.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior or current undergraduate student.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be 16 years of age or older.
  5. Must reside in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  6. Must plan to attend or currently attend an accredited, non-profit, four-year college or university located in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.

Description: This scholarship sweepstakes is open to U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students who are 16 years of age or older. Students must plan to attend or be attending an accredited, non-profit, four-year college or university located in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.

Additional Information: Drawings will be conducted by HelloWorld, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final. Odds of winning a prize will depend upon the number of eligible entries received for each drawing. Winners will be notified by email and/or mail. Employees of Discover Student Loans, Twitter, Inc., Facebook, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, and advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of each, whether or not related, are not eligible.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable. Previous recipients cannot reapply.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $60,000.

Entry forms are available on the Discover Student Loans website.The student must submit an online entry form to participate in the contest. After submission of the online entry form, the student may obtain up to three 'bonus' entries by sharing the contest on social media (Facebook, Twitter, email) and referring friends. The student receives a bonus entry for each referred person who is eligible and enters the contest. The student may receive one bonus entry per social media method.Entries must be received by one of the four deadlines to be eligible for that drawing and any subsequent drawings. Entries will be rolled over to subsequent drawing(s). Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. EST on the appropriate deadline to be considered for that drawing.
