$5,000 annually ($2,500 per semester, fall/spring or both). Awards are not automatically renewable. Recipients must reapply annually and are required to: attend orientation in August of the award year; maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; and be enrolled as a full-time student (taking 9 credit hours).
The number of awards varies. It is anticipated that one to eight scholarships will be given this year.
The Delores Auzenne Fellowship is designed to assist Florida International University in increasing the matriculation of minority graduate students who are enrolled in disciplines where there is under-representation. All students must meet the following criteria: have demonstrated initiative in pursuing educational goals and possess the qualifications to assure satisfactory progress toward future educational goals; and have met the eligibility requirements of Section 240.404, Florida Statutes, for award of state financial aid.
