Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  2. Must be majoring in a field related to the equestrian sports industry.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Description: The Southwestern Tack Scholarship program is available for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in a field related to the equestrian industry.

Application requirements for the Southwestern Tack Equestrian Major Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Proof of enrollment in a major related to horses and/or livestock
Additional Information: The Southwestern Tack Scholarship program is available for U.S. students who have declared a college major related to equestrian activities. Group 1 entries will be made available for those students who wish to pursue a career as a vet, help farmers grow better crops, or otherwise work with horses and other livestock.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
