Description: The Tragos Law Scholarship Essay Contest is available for incoming and current undergraduate or graduate students who submit an essay on the current year's topic.

Additional Information: The Tragos Law Scholarship Essay Contest is provided annually to undergaduate and graduate students, nationwide, to encourage thinking about the role of law in fostering a safe and secure society. Within six weeks of the deadline date, judges will select one essay submission that successfully combines creativity, practicality, and substance in responding to the topic prompt.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Payments will be made directly to the student's school and credited to the student's account.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about the Tragos Law Scholarship Essay Contest is available online using the provided links. To be considered for this scholarship, students must complete the application form and write an original essay of between 300 and 500 words in length that addresses the following question: "The Florida Supreme Court recently ruled that red light cameras are legal. Do you think red light cameras improve safety on Florida roads? Why or why not?" All applications and essays must be submitted by email no later than the deadline date. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
