Garden Club of America
$5,000 annually, non-renewable.
Four awards offered annually.
The Garden Club of America provides this award in coastal wetland studies. The goal of the Garden Club is to promote wetlands conservation through the support of young scientists in their field work and research. All applications are reviewed by a selection committee of practicing wetland scientists. Selection criteria include the technical merit of the proposed work and the degree to which the work is relevant to the Garden Club objective of promoting wetlands conservation. The selection committee forwards its selections to the Garden Club of America by the end of February. The Garden Club makes final decisions regarding the number of awards to be made each year and officially notifies the award recipients. All applicants are typically notified of the selection process outcome in early April.
