Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  3. Must possess an active amateur radio license (any class).
  4. Must study electronic engineering. Preference will be given to students with a concentration in digital communications.

Description: The Victor Poor, W5SMM, Memorial Scholarship is open to international and U.S. students who are licensed radio amateurs (any class) and study electronic engineering. Preference will be given to students with a concentration in digital communications.

Additional Information: This award is provided annually to honor the memory of Victor Poor. Applicants must be licensed radio amateurs and must study electronic engineering. Additional preference will be given to students who are studying digital communications technology. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
