  3. Must be returning to higher education after an interruption in enrollment.

Description: The Philanthropic Education Organization (PEO) is a need-based grant program. The program was established in 1973. The goal of the program is to provide one-time financial aid to women whose education has been interrupted. The PCE grant awards a maximum of $3,000 to help defray education costs.

Application requirements for the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE) are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Personal statement.
Additional Information: To be eligible for the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE) grant you must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of Canada or the U.S. You must also intend to pursue the degree or certification necessary for improving or gaining skills leading to employment.

Award Amount: The maximum grant is $3,000 and depending on budget, smaller amounts may be awarded too. It is for tuition, books, fees, childcare (while in school), travel to/from class, uniforms (if part of the program) and tools or equipment relating to studies.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
