In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a parent or guardian who was a member of the U.S armed forces amd died as a result of military service performed in Iraq or Afghanistan after the events of 9/11.
  2. Must be under the age of 24.
  3. Must be enrolled in college at least part time.
  4. Must not be eligible for a federal pell grant.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant is a federal grant. It is for those whose parent or guardian died as a result of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan post 9/11. To apply, one must have been younger than 24 years old or enrolled at least part-time at a college or career school at the time of the parent’s or guardian’s death.

Application requirements for the Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant are:

  • FAFSA by 06/30/2020
Additional Information: The payment procedures are the same as for the Federal Pell Grant.

Award Amount: Up to $6,495 offered  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,495.
