In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be of asian or korean ancestry with at least one asian or korean grandparent.
  2. Must be a undergraduate.
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Description: Set up by Dr. William Orr Dingwall with the purpose of supporting students in their pursuit of undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in a variety of fields, the foundation oversees the distribution of the Korean Ancestry Grants to students of Korean ancestry (and a limited number of exceptional students of other Asian ancestry) pursuing undergraduate degrees at accredited universities in the United States.

Application requirements for the Korean Ancestry Grant are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Applicants must be of Asian ancestry, with at least one Asian grandparent. There is a strong preference for applicants of Korean ancestry. The minimum GPA to apply is 3.50. The grant is for undergraduate study only.

Award Amount: Grants are awarded for up to $10,000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $70,000.
