Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must plan to major in nursing.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. Must reside in Greater Middletown Ohio (Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Trenton, Middletown).

Description: This scholarship is available for current seniors graduating from a Greater Middletown Ohio (Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Trenton, Middletown) high school. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to major in nursing.

Application requirements for the Alison Harris Fiora Scholarship are:

  • Transcript including SAT/ACT scores
  • Resume including paid and/or service work
Additional Information: This scholarship is provided in honor of Alison Harris Fiora, a local-area nurse who had a passion for medicine and a great deal of empathy for her patients. Despite suffering from her own health problems, Alison Harris Fiora worked tirelessly toward helping others. Each year, a financial award is provided to encourage this spirit of service, compassion, and enthusiasm for nursing. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and must be graduating from a Greater Middletown Ohio (Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Trenton, Middletown) high school.

Award Amount: $410 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $410.
