Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must be diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome.
  5. Must be a resident of California.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in California who have been medically diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. Applicants must submit an original essay of up to 500 words in length and two letters of recommendation to be considered for this award.

Additional Information: A committee of the ScholasTIC Tourette Supporters Board of Directors will make the selection of the scholarship winners. The scholarship will be awarded to the two applicants who demonstrate ambition, potential, and need through the brief essay, scholastic record, improvement in GPA overall, future promise and financial need.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications and information about this scholarship can be found online at the ScholasTIC Tourette’s Supporters, Inc. website. To be considered for an award, applicants must submit a completed application form as well as an essay of up to 500 words about the effects and consequences of living with tourette syndrome. In addition, applicants must submit the following supporting documents: current transcripts; a signed letter of diagnosis from a current medical doctor; and two letters of reference from professional or academic sources. All applications, essays, and supporting documents must be received by mail no later than the deadline date.
