  2. Must be a legal U.S. resident.
  3. Must reside in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
  4. Must be 14 years of age or older to apply.

Description: This $10,000 Unigo Scholarship is open to any applicant who is 14 years of age or older and is a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. The applicant must register for a free online account with Unigo.com and submit a short response to this year's topic as posted on the website.

Application requirements for the Unigo $10K Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Website registration
Additional Information: A qualified panel of judges will select potential winners based on the following criteria: writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and overall excellence (25%). Winners will be announced in April. The scholarship will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education attended by the recipient (once he/she has enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor). The scholarship prize recipient must submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec. 31, 2026.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

Applications are available online. Students must register (for free) at Unigo.com, submit a brief online application and provide a short written response to the following question: "Would you rather be smart, funny or rich? Why” (250 words or less)Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the deadline date. Limit one application per person.
