This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who are members of Future Farmers of America and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Students must reside in Illinois and plan to attend the University of Illinois to pursue a four-year degree in any area of agriculture (except social services).

U.S. high school seniors and currently enrolled students pursuing a two- or four-year degree in select agriculture majors are eligible for this award. Students must be members of the FFA, have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and reside in one of the 48 contiguous United States.
