Description: This scholarship is available for female high school seniors residing in Greater Middletown Ohio (Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Trenton, Middletown). Selection is based on academic record, community service, and financial need.

Additional Information: The American Association of University Women (AAUW) was founded in 1881 by women examining and questioning the fundamental issues of the day – educational, social, economic, and political. To promote higher education among women, the Middletown Ohio chapter will provide this scholarship each year to a female high school senior who demonstrates courage, intellectual curiosity, and a strong desire to pursue higher education for the purpose of making her world a better place.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually. Awards may be renewable based on availability of funds.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

To be considered for this award, students must submit a complete application form, including the personal information section, family information, and financial information. It is strongly preferred that application forms are typed and printed. In addition, the student must also submit a copy of his/her most recent high school transcripts including SAT/ACT scores, and a resume detailing work experience and/or community service participation. All applications and supporting documents must be mailed to the Middletown Community Foundation at the listed address, and must be received by the deadline date.
