Number of Awards & Eligibility: Ten scholarships are being awarded in a total of $20,000.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be Hispanic.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be a legal resident of Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Baker or Nassau counties, Florida for three years or more.
  6. Must enroll full time.
  7. Must be a graduating high school senior or currenly enrolled undergraduate student at time of application.

Description: This award is available for Hispanic undergraduate students who are legal residents of Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Baker or Nassau counties, Florida for three years or more. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher at time of application.

Application requirements for the Achieving the Dream Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Proof of enrollment
Additional Information: First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC), along with our donors, awards promising Hispanic students scholarships to continue their education. The Achieving The Dream (ATD) Scholarship is for students of Hispanic/Latino descent who are pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Criteria for applicants are listed on the provider site.

Award Amount: $2,000 per award. A total in $20,000 will be awarded to 10 winners.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.
