Description: The Andrew Raymond Duncan Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who reside in Wichita Falls, Texas. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be majoring in a field other than art (dual major students may apply if at least one major is not art-related).

Additional Information: The Andrew Raymond Duncan Memorial Scholarship is provided annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students who show strong academic achievement. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors or college students residing in Wichita Falls, Texas and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may plan to attend any accredited college or university in the United States and may pursue any field of study. Students who are majoring in art must also have a second declared major in a non-art field of study. Additional preference will be given to students who have participated in local arts programs such as Dance Etc., Backdoor Theatre, Wichita Theatre, Opera Breve, Applause, or ACT.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

The Andrew Raymond Duncan Memorial Scholarship has closed for 2019 but the deadline is expected to remain the same in 2020. Please check back in January when applications are scheduled to become available.
