  3. Must plan to attend Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.
  4. Must be a high school senior or enrolling as a first-time freshman at time of application.
  5. Must plan to attend a college or university in Pennsylvania.

Additional Information: University scholarships are based on academic achievement, test scores, and extracurricular activities. Please note: Students will need to score at least 530 on the paper-based version of the TOEFL, 200 on the computer-based version, or 70 on the new Internet-based version. Students may also take the IETLS; a score of 6.0 or higher is required for this test. Official TOEFL or IETLS results are required for those for whom English is a second language.

Award Amount: The Arcadia University Distinguished Scholarship and the Achievement Awards range from $1,000 to $25,000. Awards are offered annually and are renewable as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment and good academic standing. Please note that all scholarships are only applicable to the costs of tuition. Room and board are additional costs which are the award winner's responsibilityAfter at least one full semester at Arcadia, the applicant can apply for the Campus Achievement Award, a scholarship ranging from $400 to $3,000 per year, depending on his/her grades, activities, and leadership at Arcadia University.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.

Scholarship information is available online on the Arcadia University (AU) website. To be considered for this scholarship, the student must apply for admission to AU. No separate scholarship application is required. Applications for admission are available on the AU website. Students may apply online using AU's online application, the PHEAAMentor system, the Common Application, or the Universal Application. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: a $30 application fee (waived if the application is completed online); a personal statement; official secondary school transcripts from all institutions attended (in English); an original or certified copy of his/her secondary school diploma(s) or other documentation of secondary school graduation; official results of any comprehensive national exams (GCE, CXC, etc.); proof of English language proficiency if English is his/her second language; a copy of the picture and address pages of his/her current, valid passport (must be received before an I-20 or DS-2019 can be submitted); a declaration of finances and accompanying documentation showing proof of financial support for all programs; and a portfolio review or acting audition (for fine arts and acting applicants only). All supporting materials must be translated into English by an official public translator when applicable. The documents must be submitted to Arcadia in both languages. For most programs, applications are considered at any time during the year; however, to be assured of maximum financial aid consideration, students should apply for fall admission before April 1, and spring admission before Nov. 1. Applicants will be notified of the admission decision usually within several weeks from the date of completion of the application.
