In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be female.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be graduating from a high school in Baltimore, MD.

Additional Information: The Artemis Award is a scholarship provided annually by the Baltimore Community Foundation. Funds will be provided to a local area woman who is graduating from high school in Baltimore and planning to attend a two- or four-year college in the United States.

Award Amount: $1000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Information about and applications for the award are available at the online portal of the CollegeBound Foundation. To access the application for these awards, the student must first register an online account. Information is available online at the CollegeBound Foundation website. Applications are only available online through the STARS online portal. In addition to completing the CollegeBound Foundation Competitive Scholarship Application, the applicant must also submit the following: two letters of recommendation; a copy of his/her college acceptance letter(s); a typed essay addressing the topic listed on the application (if applicable); community service verification(s) (if applicable); and a copy of his/her recent high school transcript, including the first semester of the senior year. All application materials must be received by the deadline.
