Number of Awards & Eligibility: two awards are available annually, two to Vermont Technical College students and three to any qualified students. An average of three awards are given each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must seek education or training in a field related to construction (i.e., academic, vocational, technical, or advanced training).
  3. Must be a high school senior or graduate or currently enrolled student to apply for this award. Students may be enrolled in any type of program, whether degree-granting or non-degree.
  4. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  5. Preference is given to students attending a Vermont college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: The Associated General Contractors of Vermont Scholarship was created to encourage and enable individuals to pursue a career in the construction industry. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Selection is also based on the applicant's essay and recommendation letters. There are approximately 30 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications are available from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website. Applications may be completed either online or in paper form beginning on November 1. Please note: The student is only required to submit one application for all scholarships for which he/she wishes to apply. In addition, if a particular document is required for more than one scholarship, the student need only submit one copy of that document. To apply, the student must complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application and submit the following materials: a letter of recommendation; an essay; and official transcripts. NOTE: Required additional materials MUST conform to the detailed instructions in the VSAC Scholarships Booklet. The student is highly encouraged to review the booklet thoroughly when assembling materials. Electronic applications and any digital versions of supplemental materials must be submitted by midnight on the deadline date. Paper applications or any supplemental materials in paper form must be postmarked by the deadline date.
