Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a combined SAT score of 1200 or higher.
  3. Must plan to attend the University of Delaware.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  5. Must rank in the upper quarter (top 25 percent) of his/her high school class.
  6. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  7. Must be a legal resident of Delaware.
  8. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Delaware high school seniors who are planning to enroll full time at the University of Delaware. The student must have a combined SAT score of 1800 or higher and rank in the top 25 percent of his/her high school class.

Additional Information: This scholarship is given in honor of the former Speaker of the State House of Representatives

Award Amount: This award amount is for the cost of full tuition, fees, room and board, and books. Awards are renewable for up to three additional years by maintaining full-time enrollment with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The current cost of attendance per year at the University of Delaware is $30,922 for Delaware residents and $52, 352 for out of state students.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $52,352.
