Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must enroll full time at an accredited college or university.
  3. Must be insured (either a base policy or a rider) on a Baptist Life Association permanent life insurance certificate, term life insurance certificate, or annuity for two years or more prior to May 31.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for full-time U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are insured (either a base policy or a rider) on a Baptist Life Association permanent life insurance certificate, term life insurance certificate, or annuity for two years or more prior to May 31. A $1,000 award is being offered.

Additional Information: Applicants must be insured members of Baptist Life for a minimum of two years to be eligible. Awards are based on academic level, financial need and ambitions/goals. *Please note: Family members of the Baptist Life Board of Directors, officers or employees are not eligible to participate. Scholarship recipients will be notified via letter by July 15.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Recipients may reapply each year but may not receive more than four total awards.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the Baptist Life Association (BLA) website. In addition to a completed application, students must submit an official copy of academic transcripts from grade nine through the most recent year. This must be submitted prior to the deadline date; transcripts can be faxed or mailed. Applications are accepted after Jan. 1 and must be received by the deadline date.
