Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
  5. Must graduate from Albuquerque High School in New Mexico.
  6. Must pursue a bachelors degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) major. Priority will be given to those pursuing engineering-related careers.
  7. Must demonstrate financial need.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: High school seniors graduating from Albuquerque High School in New Mexico who have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must enroll in a STEM major and demonstrate financial need.

Additional Information: Applicants should demonstrate math and/or science interest and skill through SAT/ACF scores and/or strong grades in appropriate high school classes. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Award Amount: $700 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $700.

Applications are available online from the Albuquerque Community Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, a resume of no more than three pages, a personal essay detailing the topics listed within the application, and one reference from a math/science teacher. Applications must be submitted online by the deadline date.
