In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be an incoming college freshman.
  4. Must enroll full time.
  5. Must plan to attend Bellarmine University in Kentucky.
  6. Must have a grade point average under 3.0.
  7. Must have an ACT score lower than 25 OR an SAT score lower than 1140.
  8. Must attend a university in Kentucky.

Additional Information: Merit scholarships are awarded above and beyond other financial aid students receive. Merit awards serve to recognize individual students for their academic talent, service, or leadership achievements. Award amounts are determined on an individual basis and celebrate the strength and achievements of each admitted student. Each eligible student should exhibit a strong academic profile and extracurricular involvements.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary depending on the information supplied in the student's admissions application. Last year, award amounts ranged from $3,500 to $14,000 annually. This award is renewable for up to three years (six semesters) as long as the recipient maintains a 2.0 cumulative grade point average and full-time enrollment status.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $14,000.
