Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
  4. Must have an ACT score of 29 or higher.
  5. Must attend Bellarmine University in Kentucky.
  6. Must be an incoming college freshman.
  7. Must attend a university in Kentucky.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. incoming college freshmen with a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and ACT scores of 29 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must attend Bellarmine University.

Application requirements for the Bellarmine University Scholars Scholarship are:

  • Essay

  • Official Transcript
  • $25 app. fee (waived if online)
  • Eval. form
  • SAT/ACT scores
Additional Information: Merit scholarships are awarded above and beyond other financial aid students receive. Merit awards serve to recognize individual students for their academic talent, service, or leadership achievements. Other factors such as strength of curriculum, honors and awards will also considered.

Award Amount: Full tuition annually, renewable for up to three years (six semesters). For the current school year, the award is valued at a total of $40,350 annually. Each recipient will also receive a study abroad stipend.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $165,400.

Applications for admission are available online from the Bellarmine University website. There is not a separate application for this award. Students are considered upon admission. In addition to the completed and signed admissions application, each student must submit a $25 application fee (waived if the application is completed online); official high school transcript; ACT/SAT scores; and an essay describing an incident or situation in his/her life which piqued his/her intellectual curiosity. The student's high school counselor should complete the 'High School Counselor Evaluation Form' included within the application. Applications must be submitted by the deadline.
