  1. Must reside in and attend school in Burkburnett, TX.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend a college or university in the state of Texas.

Additional Information: The Best of Burkburnett Scholarship is provided annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students in Burkburnett, Texas, who show a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors in Burkburnett, Texas and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may plan to attend any accredited college, university, or trade/vocational school in the state of Texas and may pursue any field of study.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, provide as a one-time, non-renewable award.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

The Best of Burkburnett Scholarship has closed for 2019 but the deadline is expected to remain the same in 2020. Please check back in January when applications are scheduled to become available. Applications, instructions, and complete details about the Best of Burkburnett Scholarship are available online at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation website. To be considered for a scholarship through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, students must first complete the online general application form. Upon completion, students will be notified of which individual scholarships they are eligible for, and what additional application materials (if any) are required to apply for each program. Students are advised to use Chrome or Firefox while completing the application, as it is not fully compatible with Internet Explorer. Finished applications must be submitted online by the deadline date for each scholarship the applicant wishes to be considered for.
