Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Must graduate from Hinkly High School in Aurora, Colorado.
  6. Must participate in the Robert F. Caviness Invitational.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher who will graduate form Hinkly High School in Aurora, Colorado are eligible for this award. Students must participate in the Robert Caviness Invitational.

Application requirements for the Bob Caviness Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Future resume
Additional Information: An applicant must be accepted to an accredited college/university/community/technical school.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in November for a refreshed application deadline date. Applications are available online form the Aurora Public Schools (APS) Education Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a 500- to 1,500-word essay on one of the two topics listed, and a resume from his/her future. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by 4 p.m. on the deadline date.
