In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in and attend high school in Douglas, Northbridge, or Uxbridge, MA.
  2. Must be a high school senior.

Description: The Carrick Foundation Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Douglas, Northbridge or Uxbridge high schools in Massachusetts. Award selection will be based primaily on academic merit.

Application requirements for the Carrick Foundation Scholarship are:

  • Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
Additional Information: The Carrick Foundation Scholarship is provided annually through the Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF). Students who complete the GWCF scholarship application will be considered for this scholarship if they are current seniors at Douglas, Northbridge or Uxbridge high schools. All applications received by the deadline date will be given full consideration based on academic records, demonstrated financial need, and the strength of recommendation letters. During award selection, particular emphasis will be given to applicant's academic records, including: grades, standardized test scores, and high school class rank.

Award Amount: Scholarship amounts range from $4,000 to $5,000 annually, and may be renewable for up to four years of study provided that the student maintains excellent academic achievement.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Although the deadline for 2019 has passed, this scholarship is expected to be offered again in 2020. Please check back in January, when applications open, for updated information about this award. To apply for the Carrick Foundation Scholarship, students must complete the online scholarship application form. All applications will also require the student to upload a copy of current transcripts for all academic coursework completed at their current school, as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or other adult community leader who is familiar with the applicant. All applications and supporting documents must be received online no later than the deadline date.
