Number of Awards & Eligibility: Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year. Each student meeting the requirements will receive an award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  4. Must be a female.
  5. Must plan to attend Cedar Crest College in Pennsylvania.
  6. Must be the child or grandchild of a graduate of Cedar Crest College.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school senior females with parents or grandparents who graduated from Cedar Crest College are eligible for this award. Students must apply for admission to Cedar Crest College in Pennsylvania.

Application requirements for the Cedar Crest College Heritage Award are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (up to 2)
  • Application form
  • Essay
  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information: Although students are admitted to Cedar Crest College on a rolling basis, the deadlines provided are recommended for students who wish to have priority consideration for placement and financial aid.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, renewable for up to three years as long as the recipient remains in good academic standing.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the Cedar Crest College website. There is not a separate application for this award. Each student is considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit official transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, a personal essay of 250 to 500 words on a topic of her choice, and up to two teacher evaluations. There is not a set deadline to apply for this award. Applications are accepted throughout the year. For priority consideration, the student should submit his/her application by Dec. 1 for the spring semester and Feb. 15 for the fall semester.
