Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must plan to attend Cedar Crest College in Pennsylvania.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior or transferring undergraduate student.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must be of Hispanic descent.
  7. Must be a resident of Lehigh Valley (Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ Metropolitan Area).
  8. Must be female.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Hispanic women who are attending Cedar Crest College. Applicants must demonstrate a history of leadership and academic excellence.

Application requirements for the Cedar Crest College Latina Leadership Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Application form
  • Recommendation letters (up to 2)
  • Essay
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • FAFSA by 04/15/2019
Additional Information: This scholarship is provided annually to female Cedar Crest students of Hispanic heritage who demonstrate a record of outstanding academic achievement, community service, and leadership.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, renewable for up to three years as long as the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and completes the Leadership Success Program requirements for each year he/she receives the grant.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the Cedar Crest College website. In addition, a separate application form is required to be considered for the Latino Leadership Scholarship. Students must also file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) with Cedar Crest by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. All admissions and scholarship applications must be received by the deadline. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
