Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a female.
  2. Must be an incoming freshman.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.40 or higher.
  5. Must have an ACT score of 27 or higher OR an SAT score of 1260 or higher.
  6. Must plan to attend Cottey College in Missouri.
  7. This award is for U.S. students.
  8. Must attend a college or university in Missouri.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend Cottey College in Missouri. Students must have a grade point average of 3.40 or higher and an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1260 or higher.

Application requirements for the Cottey College Academic Founder’s Scholarship are:

  • ACT/SAT scores
  • $20 app. fee
Additional Information: Cottey College encourages applications from students who are serious about enrolling in a women's liberal arts and science college and who are well-prepared through college preparatory, honor, and advanced placement high school courses.

Award Amount: $12,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years if the student completes 27 hours during her first year at Cottey and maintains a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $72,000.

Scholarship information is available online on the Cottey College website. Students must apply for admission to be considered for this scholarship. The admissions application may be completed online or downloaded and mailed. In addition to a completed admissions application, the student must submit the following materials: a $20 non-refundable application fee; an official high school transcript that shows coursework from at least six completed semesters; and official standardized test scores (either included on high school transcript or sent directly from testing organization). The priority deadline for financial aid is December 31.
