Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must enroll full time at an accredited, not-for-profit, public college or university.
  3. Must be a resident of Tennessee.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must graduate from Sequoyah High School in Madisonville, TN.
  6. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is available to U.S. high school seniors who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and attend Sequoyah High School in Madisonville, Tennessee.

Additional Information: The Craighead Limestone Scholarship Fund was established by the C.S. Sands Family in order to provide graduates of Sequoyah High School the opportunity to continue their education at the colleges/universities of their choice. In creating this scholarship program, the Sands family expressed particular interest in assisting those who, without significant financial assistance, would not be able to attend college. The scholarship will be made in the form of a grant to the accredited, not-for-profit institution of the recipient's choice. The award will be made in two distributions: one will be made at the beginning of the fall semester and the second at the beginning of the spring semester.

Award Amount: $2,750 per year for four years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $11,000.
