Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend college, vocational, or business school by the fall following high school graduation.
  3. Must graduate from an Aurora, Colorado public high school.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  5. Must be a teen parent.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Application requirements for the Denise Davis Teen Parent Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • FAFSA
  • Outline
Additional Information: An eligible student must demonstrate financial need, involvement in school or community service activities, and show proof of acceptance to his/her intended school.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online from the Aurora Public Schools (APS) Education Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts; two letters of recommendation from high school faculty members; and a one-page outline of school/community service, educational plans upon graduation, and how this scholarship will assist him/her. The student must also file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications and supporting materials must be received by 4 p.m. on the deadline date.
