Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must plan to attend DePaul University.
  5. Must demonstrate superior academic excellence.
  6. Must attend a college or university in Illinois.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Application requirements for the DePaul University Presidential Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information: The Presidential Scholarship, DePaul's most prestigious scholarship, is awarded to a select number of our most academically qualified admitted students.

Award Amount: $17,000 to $18,000 annually, renewable for up to four consecutive years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.3 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $18,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the DePaul University website. The student will be automatically considered upon admission to the university. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit high school transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, and the high school counselor recommendation form. Applications must be submitted by the the priority consideration deadline of Nov. 15 or the Feb. 1 deadline for regular notification.
