Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student.
  3. Must be majoring in education.

Description: The Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund is available for Ventura County residents who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in education.

Additional Information: Provided in partnership with the Ventura County Community Foundation, the Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund is provided annually to local area students who are currrently enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate program for teaching and education. Additional consideration will be given to students who are pursuing a career in elementary level education. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic achievement, unmet financial need, and demonstrated passion for the teaching profession.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications for the Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
