Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a current or former 4-H member who has participated in the North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program.
  3. Must plan to enroll full time.
  4. Must be a resident of North Carolina.
  5. Must be planning to enroll as a college freshman.
  6. Must enroll at North Carolina State University. Second preference will be given to an otherwise eligible student who is enrolling at another North Carolina college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for North Carolina high school seniors who are former or current participants in North Carolina 4-H Youth Development. First preference will be given to a freshman or upperclassman at North Carolina State University.

Application requirements for the Edmund & Elizabeth Aycock Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Photograph
  • Test scores
  • Resume
Additional Information: Please note: All eligible students must have filed an application for admission to at least one institution of higher learning, and must arrange for and take the SAT and/or ACT. It is the student's responsibility to make all arrangements for college admissions. Selection will be based on the following: 4-H record (50 percent); scholastic achievement as measured by performance in high school courses (25 percent); and college aptitude as measured by performance on college entrance exams, such as the SAT and ACT (25 percent). Recipients will be selected in March. Recipients must attend the 4-H Scholarships and Awards Luncheon held during the N.C. 4-H Congress. Recipients may be required to attend the CALS Donor Recognition Event in the fall.

Award Amount: The total award amount given under this program is $1,000. All scholarships are offered annually and are non-renewable.All 4-H scholarships will be paid directly to the college or university. They will not be made payable to the recipient nor his/her parents.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
