Description: The Eleanor B. and Henry H. Stroud, M.D. Memorial Scholarship is available for medical students who are residents of Delaware.

Additional Information: The Eleanor B. and Henry H. Stroud, M.D. Memorial Scholarship is provided annually in order to assist with the educational costs of higher education. Eligible applicants must be residents of Delaware and must enroll at an accredited medical school in the United States. Award selection will be based on those students who demonstrate a commitment to the highest level of excellence, ethics, and compassion. The Delaware Community Foundation has provided scholarships and other forms of financial assistance to deserving Delaware students since 1986. Students are encouraged to apply for any and scholarships that they are eligible for, as there is no limit on the number of awards a single student may receive. Additional information about the award may be found online at the Foundation's website, as well as at school guidance offices within the state.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship are available online at the Delaware Community Foundation website. To be considered for an award, eligible students must complete the online application form that includes the following: student contact information; academic information and history; financial need (if applicable); and one or more essay responses as are defined within the application. Students are not required to complete the application in one sitting - current changes can be saved for later completion, review, or attachment of additional items. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
