Number of Awards & Eligibility: Ten awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a current high school student.
  2. Must reside in and attend high school in Apache, Coconino, Gila, Imperial, La Paz, Orange, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, San Diego, Yavapai or Yuma Counties.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school juniors and high school seniors. Applicants must attend an accredited high school in one of the eligible Pacific Southwest counties.

Application requirements for the Ethical Torch Essay Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Better Business Bureau will award $10k in total scholarship funds to ten students for their 400 word essays on "The Importance of Ethics and Integrity in our Community." Recipients will be awarded at the annual Torch Awards for Ethics event in October where they will be presented with their checks on stage. Scholarships will be awarded to five students residing in Southern California and five students residing in Greater Arizona.

Award Amount: Award amounts are as follows: (1) $1,500, (2) $1,250, (3) $1,000, (4) $750, and (5) $500. Awards will be provided to students in each region: Southern California, and Greater Arizona.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
