Description: The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement was founded in 2015, as part of Farm Credit’s 2016 centennial celebration, and is funded by Horizon Farm Credit. The founding board members wanted to create a lasting legacy, ensuring that the future of agriculture is a bright one. With the United States Department of Agriculture estimating nearly 60,000 job openings in ag every year, a scholarship program is the perfect way to make such an impact – giving students planning to pursue a career in this ever-changing field an opportunity to make their dreams come true.

Additional Information: The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement’s scholarship program will award at least ten scholarships in 2023, each valued at $10,000. There will be two separate applications this year, one for high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a two or four year educational program at a college or university, and another for high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a technical school. All applicants must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture, and must reside within Horizon Farm Credit’s 100 county territory or Washington D.C.

Award Amount: Chosen applicants will receive $10,000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $100,000.
