Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Ephrata High School in Ephrata, WA.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. Must be majoring in agriculture or education.

Description: The Ferne Daniel Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Ephrata High School in Ephrata, WA. Applicants must plan to major in agriculture or education at a college or university in the State of Washington.

Application requirements for the Ferne Daniel Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • FAFSA
  • Application form
  • Recommender emails
  • Student Aid Report
Additional Information: The Ferne Daniel Scholarship is provided annually in memory of Ferne Daniel, a teacher who worked in the North Central Washington area for more than 30 years. Her career spanned teaching work at Wenatchee High School, the Whitman School, and then Ephrata High School. Awards will be provided to graduating seniors at Ephrata High School who plan to major in agriculture or education with the goal of becoming a farmer, teacher, or related professional. Selection will consider a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually. Scholarship awards are not automatically renewable, but previous recipients are eligible to reapply in future years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
