Number of Awards & Eligibility: Six awards awarded annually. One winner from each category will receive a one year scholarship to the FIDM.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Must be a high school senior or graduate (high school graduates may not have had any training in the area of their application).
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must plan to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). *Please note: Current and former FIDM students are not eligible to enter this competition.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors or graduates who will attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Marketing (FIDM). Current and previous students of FIDM are not eligible to enter.

Additional Information: FIDM's National Scholarship Competition looks for students who are creative thinkers and have an "eye" for unconventional thinking. A winner is picked within each category based on creativity, thoughtfulness, presentation, and promise. Winners will be notified in July and will also be featured in the Scholarship Winners' Gallery.

Award Amount: One year tuition to any FIDM location, valued at approximately $30,955.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $30,955.

Entry forms are available online from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) website. To receive full details about the application procedure and project guidelines, students must complete this form first. In addition to the completed entry form, the student must then submit a project according to the guidelines set within the category of the student's choice: Fashion Executive of Tomorrow, Interior Designer of Tomorrow, Graphic Designer of Tomorrow, Fashion Designer of Tomorrow, Visual Designer of Tomorrow, and Digital Media Artist of Tomorrow. All projects must be received no later than the deadline date.
