In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must attend as a full-time student.
  4. Must be ranked in top 10 percent of graduating class.
  5. Must have an SAT score of 1200 or highter OR an ACT score of 28 or higher.
  6. Must plan to enroll at Fordham University in New York.

Description: This award is available for high school seniors who have shown a strong overall high schoool performance and academic potential and plan to attend Fordham University in New York. All freshmen are considered when their admission application is reviewed.

Additional Information: Typically, the top six to eight percent of admitted applicants are eligible for the Dean's Scholarship. The awards are given based on the applicant's overall high school performance and proven academic potential as shown by SAT and/or ACT test scores.

Award Amount: Up to $15,000 annually  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.

Applications are available online at the Fordham University website by clicking the 'Traditional Rose Hill & Lincoln Center University Aid and Fordham Administered Aid' link under the Scholarship/Grant Information heading. There is not a separate application for this award. All freshmen are considered when their admission application is reviewed. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a certified true copy and translation of secondary school transcripts and certificates (translations are not acceptable without a certified true copy of the original document), official SAT I (Scholastic Assessment Test) results, a $50 application fee and essay as listed on the application. Students must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications must be submitted by the early action (non-binding) deadline of Nov. 15 or the regular decision deadline of Feb. 10.
