Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be an incoming freshman.
  3. Must plan to attend Grace College & Theological Seminary.
  4. Must be designated the valedictorian or salutatorian of his/her graduating class (i.e., ranked first or second in the class).
  5. Must have an SAT score of 1360 or higher (critical reading and math only) OR an ACT score of 29 or higher if his/her high school class size is fewer than 10.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  7. Must enroll full time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. students who plan to attend Grace College & Theological Seminary as freshmen. The student must be a valedictorian or salutatorian; an SAT score of 1300 or higher or an ACT score of 29 or higher is also required if the student's class size is fewer than ten.

Application requirements for the Grace College Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Grace College and Seminary is an evangelical Christian community of higher education which applies biblical values in strengthening character, sharpening competence, and preparing for service. Grace College offers a variety of financial assistance options, including scholarships, grants, student employment, and loans, to incoming students. Most institutional scholarships require a student to live on campus and maintain full-time enrollment. Recipients will be notified when admission is granted.

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 annually for salutatorians and up to $11,000 annually for valedictorians, renewable for three additional years based on academic good standing at the end of each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $42,000.

Students who apply for admission to Grace College will be automatically evaluated for scholarship eligibility by the Office of Admissions during the admission process. A separate scholarship application is not required. Admissions information is available online on the Grace College website at www.grace.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/apply-admission. In addition to a completed online or mailed application, the student must submit a school reference, official high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores. Please note: There is a $30 application fee required for mailed applications. Students must also complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Admissions applications must be received by the Office of Admissions by March 1 for priority scholarship consideration. Applications received after March 1 may be considered until classes are full.
