Number of Awards & Eligibility: At least one award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school student applying to college (two-year or four-year college or trade school) OR a current part-time or full-time college student.
  3. Must meet one of the following criteria: be an immediate family member (defined as spouse, child, grandchild, or parent) of an NHASH member in good standing and studying any postsecondary education; be an immediate family member of an industry-related business or organization which meets the criteria for membership as a NHASH Associate member and studying in an industry-related field; OR studying in any environmental science field.
  4. Must be a resident of New Hampshire.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Students must meet one of the following criteria: be an immediate family member of an NHASH member in good standing and pursuing any secondary education; be an immediate family of an industry-related organization or business that meets criteria for NHASH Associate membership and pursuing any industry-related secondary education; or pursuing a degree in any environmental science field.

Additional Information: The scholarship committee selects students based on financial need, academic merit, and other non-academic factors such as work experience, community services, sports, clubs, and activities.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable. The scholarship will be paid to the school after the completion of the first semester and once NHASH receives documentation that the recipient has maintained a grade point averag of 3.0 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications are available online on the New Hampshire Association of Septage Haulers (NHASH) website. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: a transcript of grades to include third-quarter grades; a letter of acceptance to college; a copy of college costs from the college's official website; and a letter of special financial considerations. Applications must be submitted by the deadline date via mail or email using the contact information listed. Hand-delivered applications will not be accepted.
