Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to four awards offered annually. In a typical year, two awards are provided based on financial need, and two awards are provided based on academic achievement.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Must be of Hispanic heritage.
  4. Must be a resident of St. Louis.
  5. Must be a high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for Hispanic students who are residents of the St. Louis area. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and plan to an attend an accredited educational institution in the fall following application.

Additional Information: The Scholarship Program of The Hispanic Leaders Group of Greater St. Louis seeks to promote and advance the education of Hispanics growing up in the St. Louis region. This scholarship program rewards achievement by providing funding for college/university education and/or trade/vocational training.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available at from The Hispanic Leaders Group of Greater St. Louis website at the address provided. In addition to the completed application form, students must submit the following documents: a cover letter explaining his/her interests and aspirations; a recent resume that includes three references; an essay responding to the prompt listed on the appication; and an admission letter from an accredited college or university or vocational school (if the applicant is currently a high school senior at the time of application. Applications and supporting materials must be received by the deadline date.
