Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of scholarships varies annually, depending on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Must be Hispanic.
  5. Must be a resident of Idaho.

Description: This award is available for Hispanic high school seniors who are residents of Idaho. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university.

Application requirements for the Idaho Hispanic Scholarship Fund are:

  • Recommendation letter (x3)
  • Application form
  • Transcript
Additional Information: For over 25 years, Community Council of Idaho, Inc has provided scholarships to Idaho’s Hispanic High School seniors through funds raised at the Annual Hispanic Scholarship Golf Tournament. These scholarships are designed to help low-income, college-bound, and well-deserving Hispanic High School graduating seniors pay for the expenses they will incur while attending an institution of higher education. The awards can be used towards school related expenses such as tuition fees, books, and transportation.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online at the Community Council of Idaho, Inc. In addition to the completed application form, an applicant must submit a copy of his/her high school transcript; a personal statement; a copy of recent tax returns; and three letters of reference from individuals who can best address the student's scholastic accomplishments. Completed applications and all supporting documentation must be received by the deadline date.
