Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered annually is dependent on the quality of applications.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be accepted to or enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States.
  3. Must be a resident of Oregon or an eligible southwest Clark County, Washington for at least one year prior to submitting an application.
  4. Must be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered (LGBT), or the child of a LGBT parent, or actively involved in LGBT causes.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Application requirements for the Jessica Dolin Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Leigh and Leslie Dolin established the Jessica Dolin Memorial Scholarship in 2013 to honor their daughter Jessica who passed away May 14, 2003.  The scholarship is intended for residents of Oregon or Clark County, WA who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender student or a student actively involved in an LGBT rights organization. If the Scholarship Review Committee deems necessary, finalists could be asked to participate in phone or in-person interviews. The recipients of this scholarship will be chosen on the completion of the scholarship application (and interviews if deemed necessary) which demonstrate: apparent financial need; ability to meet eligibility guidelines; clarity of educational objectives and career goals.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
