Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior.
  3. Must be currently attending a high school in Hawaii and plan to attend a two- or four-year college.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Application requirements for the Jordan & Cara Odo Leadership Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Personal statement
  • Recommendation letter
Additional Information: The Scholarship Committee will award the scholarship to a qualified applicant based on the following criteria: the applicant's intent to return to Hawaii after college; the applicant's extracurricular activities (preferably activities that demonstrate leadership skills and interests); and other factors related to and in furtherance of the mission and vision of the Foundation.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the Jordan & Cara Odo Scholarship Foundation website. In addition to a completed application form, each student must submit the following materials: a resume; an essay of 500 words or less that answers the questions listed on the application; a personal statement of 500 words or less; a peer letter of recommendation. Applications materials must be uploaded to Dropbox using the link provided; peer letters must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
