Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a previous graduate of a high school in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan or Grant Counties in Washington State.
  2. Must be majoring in nursing.
  3. Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study or be in an RN to BSN program.

Description: The Katie Moore Memorial Nursing Scholarship is available for nursing students who have completed at least two years of nursing study at the time of application. Applicants must be previous graduates of a high school in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan or Grant County in the State of Washington.

Application requirements for the Katie Moore Memorial Nursing Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommender emails
  • Student Aid Report
Additional Information: Provided annually in memory of Katie Moore, this scholarship is awarded to previous graduates of a high school in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan or Grant County of Washington State who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study in nursing. Scholarship selection is based on a combination of academic achievement, unmet financial need, and demonstrated commitment to the field of nursing and potential for a successful career as a nurse. Additional consideration will be given to students who are specializing in pediatric nursing.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually. Scholarships are not automatically renewable, but previous recipients may reapply in future years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
