Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be diagnosed with down autism or a related spectrum disorder.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be enrolled in a post secondary program within one year of application.

Description: The Kelly Law Autism/ASD Scholarship is available for U.S. students who have been medically diagnosed with autism or a related spectrum disorder. Applicants must fill out an application, essay and personal statement to be considered. A $1,000 award is offered.

Additional Information: The winners shall be chosen at the sole discretion of John Kelly. The more compelling an application is, and the more online support it generates, the better the chance of being chosen as a winner. Finalists may be required to submit medical proof of diagnosis.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award can be found online at the Kelly Law website and may be accessed using the provided link. To be considered for an award, applicants must complete an online application form. The form contains contact and academic information, as well as an essay and brief personal statement. The essay may be up to 1,000 words and must describe how autism has impacted the applicant's educational pursuits, and must be submitted as a Word file attachment on the application form. Personal statements may be up to 100 words in length and must address the applicant's career goals and how the award will assist in pursuing those. All applications and supporting documents must be received no later than the deadline date.
